Hemoglobin A1C
Measurement of hemoglobin A1c (A1C) has long been accepted as the best indicator of glucose control over time
Point-of-care testing allows for testing in the office (or home use) and requires a small amount of blood via a finger prick (similar to a glucometer). Results are generally available within 10 minutes.
At Gilead, we utilize the hgbA1C device POC for testing. This method is less invasive than a venipuncture and provides results within 10 minutes.
The utilization of this device sets us apart from other home care providers.
